For some reason the ink was bleeding into the bristol really badly, but I had already started drawing it so I figured why not finish it? I wanted to experiment more with sketchier backgrounds and not being too caught up in having perfect inks. And it failed... but I'm putting it here anyway?

Still sick, sorta... A woman at work told me today that she had been sick for ten years and now wanted to do art again that she was recovering. I guess two months compared to ten years isn't too bad.

More mundane updates about paper and my general health pending.

Hey everyone! Summer is going by fast, I haven't decided whether this is a good thing or not yet. I'm still jobless (not for lack of trying) which is a bummer. I was sick for a good month, but I may be getting better. Savannah was sort of a ghost town for a while there but people are returning. I'll be going to Seattle on the 21st until the 28th, I'm excited to see all my friends! I've been missing the northwest a lot.

I'm not very good at blogging, it seems. I've been tweeting, so I guess if you wanted micro-updates on my daily routines that is where you should go. I've also been playing World of Warcraft with [info]jodean20 and watching Harry Potter. Whew. Can listing all my dumb hobbies make me sound like I'm busy?

Anyway, I hope you are all having great summers.

Oh, you guys!

I update this at a pretty ridiculously infrequent rate, but I'm going to try and change that! This quarter of school has been trying, to say the least. Most of these sketches are actually from months ago, except I'm also posting two colored versions of things I have previously posted for a class I'm taking. I didn't think the colors were too great but I'm going to post them anyway. I tried to make the organ one a lot more vibrant than I usually do with colors...

Anyway, classes are chuggin' on and I gots to thank my good friends for keeping my spirits up when sometimes I just feel ready to give up! I'm really excited for the summertime, and I'm counting on a renewal of energy as the southern sun becomes even more devastatingly hot.

So, I'm going to SPX tomorrow with my buddies Macarthur and Dave. We'll all be at the No Lemon Press booth somewhere in some section that I don't know. The only things I'll have are both issues of Local Honey, but I'm in both so that's cool I guess. But look for me! I look vaguely like this character design assignment I did.

So of course I draw in my sketchbook more when I have finals to be working on.

Things are going incredibly well. So well that I'd really rather not leave for a month and a half. That amount of time seems overwhelmingly long and it is a struggle for me to even comprehend how I will fill all those days, how I will keep myself busy enough so that I won't miss here.

I guess a lot of comics.
